Tara graduated in June 2013 from the 2200 hour program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Tara has lived and worked in Calgary since July 2015 and is really enjoying her time here. She has a strong passion for massage therapy and improving the quality of life for others. Tara has been trained in general Swedish massage, Schweizter’s Deep Tissue therapy and has recently completed a head, neck and jaw master class and has developed a strong interest in working with people who have TMJ (temporomandibular joint/jaw) issues. She has also done outreach clinics for chronic pain and prenatal massage.

I saw Sonya today for a prenatal massage. After a horrendous experience elsewhere I was absolutely blown away with this entire clinic! I... wish this place had opened sooner when my kids were little, but no matter, its still a great place to go to even without kids. The place is very clean and relaxing. I heard about this a week ago and thought it was an amazing idea for busy parents. Today I had my first appointment, it will not be my last.
From... the moment I walked up to the door with my 2 year old daughter I was greeted with a friendly face. The owner even opened the main door for me. Introduced us to the Tot/Child area and welcomed my daughter into a fun cheerful child minding area.
I was seated in a relaxing waiting area with soothing music and a water feature. My RMT introduced herself and brought me back to a massage room that was relaxing and also had soothing music playing. The massage was great. I could relax knowing my daughter was having fun doing crafts and dancing around with the staff. She loved the child sized sinks in the room. She was happy when we left and I was happy to get some "Mommy" time. I will be back for sure.read more

In the 4 years I’ve lived in Canada I’ve had some great massages but unfortunately they have had tons of background noise from hallways, reception,... etc. Mama Massage is very spacious so I had an incredibly relaxing and quiet massage which was much appreciated!
